GLPQ is the reference point for all qualified social workers in the Greater London area who previously registered with GLPQ as undertaking a PQ award and who now wish to claim their professional award certificate; either the PQ1, the full PQSW or the full AASW.

How do I claim an award?

Candidates who wish to claim their PQ1, PQSW or AASW certificates need to send evidence of their meeting the requirements for the award to GLPQ Consortium, c/o 26 Moyser Road, London SW16 6SA.

Evidence can be a copy of a course transcript, a certificate or a personalised letter of confirmation from the course provider.

All award claims must reach GLPQ with enough time to be processed and sent to the GSCC before the final deadline for nominations which is 27 September 2008.

GLPQ will process all award claims received before Friday 19 September 2008, but cannot guarantee that claims received after this date will get to the GSCC in time for the award nominations deadline.

What does GLPQ actually do?

GLPQ

* provides support and advice for registered candidates who have enquiries about both the outgoing and the new PQ framework.
* provides a residual administrative service to enable candidates to obtain their professional PQ award certificates before the final deadline for award claims in September 2008
* provides some completion funding for candidates on accredited courses who will complete their award before the 27 September 2008 deadline.
